It might seem like a funny name – what is H, what is B, and what’s the 1st? The story behind HB2 goes back about 10 years and one parking lot over. It’s a testament to our commitment to growth, adaptability, and exceeding the needs of our diverse clientele in the Austin region.
For nearly a decade, our original Harris Branch (HB1) facility has served as a multi-purpose hub, catering to an impressive range of industries and warehousing requirements. From semiconductors and medical supplies to fine art, telecommunications, and energy equipment, we’ve housed finished goods and raw materials. Serving distribution, fulfillment operations, spare parts, and even project storage solutions. It’s always been about versatility.
Our team at Harris Branch has embraced this diversity, constantly adapting the original facility to meet evolving needs. We moved racking, reconfigured spaces, and gradually expanded our footprint within the building until we occupied the entire facility.
However, 2023 brought a realization: while Harris Branch had stretched its wings admirably, the ever-growing demand for our services in the Austin area necessitated a bolder solution.
This is where HB2 enters the picture.
Instead of simply squeezing more into the existing space, we decided to build a brand new, state-of-the-art facility right next door. HB2 represents a doubling down on our commitment to central Texas and the Harris Branch mantra of serving unique needs. It provides much-needed space to accommodate the diverse industries and services we support, allowing us to continue offering the personalized, adaptable solutions our customers rely on.
